Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist offers two health plans with generous health benefits, including—at no charge to you—annual physicals and wellness visits for your family. Regardless of the plan you select, you and your family are encouraged to use the Wake Forest Baptist Health (WFBH) network. You’ll receive care from one of America’s top-ranked health systems AND you’ll pay less for your care with lower co-pays, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. To schedule appointments with an Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist provider call 336-716-WAKE (9253).
To search for a list of providers, select the plus next to each network. Remember to search only the networks that are available to you based the health plan you are enrolled in.
If you have any questions, contact MedCost Customer Service at 1-888-334-0609.
The Wake Forest Baptist Health Network (WFBH) Directory displays participating WFBH Network providers. If you or your covered dependents receive services from these providers, the plan will pay covered expenses at the WFBH (domestic) benefit level.
The Wake Copay and Wake Health Savings Plans provide benefits for covered services received from either WFBH Network providers or MedCost Network providers. Participants pay less when they receive care from WFBH Network providers and at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist network facilities.
While there is generally no coverage under these plans outside the WFBH and MedCost networks, benefits are available for covered dependents who live outside of the MedCost Network.
The MedCost Network Directory displays participating MedCost Network providers.
If you and your covered dependents live within the WFBH service area and you seek services from a MedCost provider, the plan will generally pay at the MedCost Network benefit level.
If you or your covered dependents live outside of the WFBH service area and receive services from a MedCost provider, the plans will generally pay covered expenses at the WFBH (domestic) benefit level.
If you or your covered dependents live outside of North Carolina, services would need to be rendered by a First Health Network physician. Covered expenses will generally pay at the WFBH (domestic) benefit level.

In the event of a medical emergency, the plan will pay benefits for emergency room services, no matter where you are. If you go to the emergency room for something that is not an emergency medical condition, you will pay more than you would for treatment of a true emergency condition. See the Summary Plan Description for additional information.
